The Wastewater System Manager development team were given two key challenges: Create a user-friendly, easy access database that meets the needs of municipalities to manage wastewater system data, and keep it affordable for the smaller municipalities.

Designed in conjunction with health officers and BOH personnel, the Wastewater System Manager is designed around the user and how the user needs to get to the information. The team started by looking at the distinct processes involved in this field. The result is the Wastewater System Manager. The WSM is component based, focusing on two aspects of wastewater system data management:

• Basic Module: Tracks all service and maintenance activities performed on a system.
• Development Module: This module helps track the process of installation from perk testing through as-builts.

The WSM supports linkages with other systems and sites, as well as full support for digital photography cataloging, as well as documentation cataloging. As with all Database Company products, the Help module is standard issue, providing situation specific help to users.
